SHELL MOTOR SPIRIT

A range of globes from the 1920's through to the 1960's. Makers names found on globes are Webbs Crystal glass, Chance Brothers and Hailware. They are generally marked on the rim with the makers name and sometimes a registration number. It may also say 'property of Shell-Mex and B.P.Ltd' showing this was after 1931 when the companies operated a joint marketing arrangement. See also Shell-Mex Globes.
