Mike Egan Enamel Sign Collection
Our thanks go to Mike Egan for sending in photos of some of his collection of enamel signs. Mike said he had some rare signs as the photos below show with his favourite being the superb Engelberts Motor Oils sign. Over the years Mike has restored some classic vehicles such as MGB's; Spitfires; Midgets; and it seems with some regret, a Triumph Stag also. His collection of signs have developed from that time and illustrated below are some real early signs particularly the Price's Motor Lubricants sign which dates to about 1895 and the Edwardian Shell Motor Spirit doorplate.
