THE BELGIAN BENZINE COMPANY
The Belgian Benzine Company (BBC) was founded in 1908 by the De Keyser Bros and Ferdinand Demets. It changed its name in 1930 to the Belgian Shell Company and and soon after to 'Belgian Shell' - The Motogazoline can is a brand from the early company. The Autoline can was a brand of the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company - a major shareholder in the BBC, and in 1925 the RDPC itself took on Shell as a brand name.
